While addressing the media at a promotional event of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha yesterday, Akshay Kumar revealed that the film has been given only 3 and not 8 verbal cuts by the CBFC
Yesterday, a section of the media reported that Akshay
Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has received 8 verbal
cuts from the Central Board Of Film Certification.

“I remember one of the cuts clearly… They asked us to
remove the word ‘haraami’ and there are two more verbal cuts. I don’t know from
where this news comes that the film has got 8 cuts… I was surprised myself,”
added the superstar.
It’s well-known that Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has got
support from PM Narendra Modi owing to its subject. On being asked if a special
screening will be held for him, Akshay said, “I would love to show it to him,
but I am sure he has lots to do for our country rather than just watching this
film. But yes, we’d love to show it to him.”
